Humanit sends your text to Google's Gemini AI along with a carefully tuned prompt that rewrites the text in a more natural, human-sounding voice. The rewrite preserves your meaning but varies the sentence structure, vocabulary, and rhythm so it reads less like a typical AI-generated response.
The detector is a statistical estimate based on a single large language model's analysis — it's a useful signal but not a forensic tool. It may differ from results returned by tools like GPTZero, Turnitin, or Originality.ai, which all use different models. Treat the verdict as guidance, not a definitive answer.

Yes. Tap "Clear history" in the Settings tab to instantly delete every saved input/output on your device. For a full wipe — including onboarding answers and counters — uninstall the app. iOS will permanently delete the entire app sandbox.
No. Humanit requires an internet connection because the AI runs in the cloud. If you're offline you can still view your existing history, but you can't run new operations.
